I loved traveling for this Northern Virginia newborn photography session and had the most wonderful time meeting everyone! Baby girl had such a beautifully designed nursery with incredible light. The whole family gathered to snuggle up and love on her for these photographs, even their sweet pup!
Baby’s nursery allows for such a natural and relaxed feel during sessions. Cuddling up by the crib, gently gliding in the rocker; all reminiscent of those treasured day to day moments and they photograph wonderfully. I love to know that families will have images that showcase how the nursery looked, since the design elements are bound to change as baby grows up.
This sweet little lady stayed awake for a little while, and even looked right in to the camera for me! I am always thrilled to have newborns spend some session time awake; it’s so wonderful to see those bright eyes. We used a pretty floral wrap as well as a white gown that mama had for her girl, and both were absolutely darling.

I am continuously grateful for the kind families who welcome me into their homes for these milestones. I am so happy to play a role in preserving their memories for years to come.
